| Dalbeattie: Steadstone Quarry Garden, on the A710 Coast road about a mile or so from Dalbeattie, will be open for one weekend only, May 26 and 27 2007,courtesy of Mr and Mrs Kinnaird, the owners, and the proceeds will go to a good cause. The garden is a unique and colourful example of what can be achieved in what was a granite quarry, and the beautiful and well cared for plants are on several levels.The cost of entry is £2 and all money raised will go to the Blair Centre in Dalbeattie, which is a meeting and activity Centre for young people between the ages of 8 and 12. Well worth a visit. |
