With its sandy beaches, excellent seaward views, and its varied and abundant wildlife, the area makes an ideal centre for activity holidays for all the family. Colvend also boasts an 18-hole golf course where you can enjoy the fantastic scenery while trying to improve your score.
In the village the conversion of a petrol station into an interactive display about the area, called 'The Secret Coast' is well worth a visit, and is geared for children as well as adults. You will find this most informative about the past history of this part of Scotland, and also the delights you can still find.
